Join us for the FREE Opening Ceremony of Distortion.
The opening ceremony will take the form of a special happening on Kongens Nytorv – a live mixtape performed by 6 music acts spread around the square. Expect hyper hiphop from Kabeaushé, hypnotic electronica from Fantastic Twins, doomsday slow techno from Tapan, maximalist hyperpop from Debbie Sings, wild bass sax from Smag På Dig Selv’s Thorbjørn and acapella opera from Lucie Cure.
The live mixtape will be broadcast live from Kongens Nytorv with a local transmitter. All cars, trucks, motorcycles, and any other vehicle with an FM radio are invited to join the sound installation – tune in on FM 88.4Mhz, open your windows and drive round and round on Kongens Nytorv. Your car is the sound system.
The whole orchestration concludes with a One Minute Rave – an explosive, unexpected moment of absolute, raw intensity. Come by, tune in, and celebrate with us the start of Distortion 2025!
