Blackpool-raised, London-based DJ and producer Effy will play at Distortion Ø.
Effy is a well kept secret in the flourishing electronic scene in the UK and she is known for her grittier club productions and acid-driven cuts. Effy was named as one of Pete Tong’s “Rising Stars” and attained support on BBC Radio 1 with Mary Anne Hobbs. On her debut EP “Not What It Seems” Effy is stepping into the sounds she turns to when she DJs like Prodigy-influenced acid, rave and broken beat sounds. Effy and Mall Grab also linked up for several music collaborations including the tracks “FMG” and “Run It”.
We can’t wait to hear Effy’s own tunes and probably a lot of unreleased stuff at Distortion Ø.
